The Collaborate for Impact Regional Launch Event

Brussels, 11 June 2021 – From 9 to 11 June, the European Venture Philanthropy
Association (EVPA) and partner organisations from across the Eastern Partnership
region and Russia* gathered over 750 participants to explore the development of
social entrepreneurship and social investment in this region.

The Collaborate for Impact Regional Launch Event was a first step in building the social
entrepreneurship ecosystem in this region through the EU-funded “Collaborate for Impact”
project. The event enabled social entrepreneurs, social investors and government
representatives in the Eastern Partnership and Russia to benefit from EVPA’s expertise and
networks, and created a space for practitioners to exchange ideas and foster collaboration at
the regional level.

During three days, participants representing social enterprises, civil society organisations,
business and state institutions were introduced to social impact investment, and explored
examples of partnerships with the business and public sectors for achieving social change

“This event enabled EVPA to share its extensive experience in market and ecosystem
building in Western and Central Eastern Europe, and was an opportunity to exchange
practices by regional players, many of whom already have considerable experience in
capacity building or impact measurement.” said EVPA CEO Roberta Bosurgi. “We are
convinced this is just the first stepping stone towards developing the social impact
ecosystem in the Eastern Partnership region and Russia, together with our local partners.”
